The California Fire Foundation Statewide Grant provides funding for fuels reduction projects, personal protective equipment, and specialized equipment to organization located in areas of the state identified as having a fire threat rating within Tier 2 (Elevated) and Tier 3 (Extreme) Counties; Tehama County is classified as Tier 2.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:

Council approved staff to apply during 2018, 2023, 2024, and 2025 funding cycles.

DISCUSSION:

The 2026 Statewide grant cycle offered by the California Fire Foundation will focus on opportunities for the funding of vegetation mitigation & fuels reduction, personal protective equipment, and specialized equipment purchases.
