Approval of the attached proposed Salary Schedule will authorize, as of July 4, 2026, salary increases to all full-time, regular classifications as outlined in their respective MOU’s or Agreements set to take effect July 1, 2026. These include those already approved or considered for approval at tonight’s meeting:

2% cost of living base salary increase to all full-time, regular classifications.

Eleven Classification specific adjustments to compensate for CalPERS language compliance changes affecting certain safety groups ranging from 0.25% to 1.25%.

Two Classification specific adjustments to alleviate compaction issues ranging from 1% to 5%.

California law requires that the City Council periodically establish, update and approve employee salary schedules.

CITY FISCAL IMPACT:

These salary increases have been included in the FY 2026/27 Budget.
