RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION:

That the City Council authorize and approve as follows:
1. Authorize Change Order #1, to Task Order No. 3 in the amount of $31,400.
2. Authorize a project specific supplemental appropriation for Fund 47-44-760220-0100 Wastewater Collection Maintenance - Improve Other Than Buildings in the amount of $31,400.

SUMMARY:
During the course of design services under Task Order No. 3 for the South Jackson St, Sewer - Phase 2 project, unforeseen additional design services are needed, which will require an authorized change order and supplemental appropriation to the Wastewater Collection Maintenance - Improve Other Than Buildings fund.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On February 2, 2022, the City Council approved the selection of R.E.Y. Engineers, Inc as one of the On-Call Underground Utility Engineering Services firms.
On December 7, 2021, the City Council approved the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the On-Call Underground Utility Engineering Services and authorized staff to advertise the RFQ.
DISCUSSION:
The City of Red Bluff awarded R.E.Y. Engineers, Inc. Task Order No.3 in the amount of $342,100 to provide engineering design services for the South Jackson St, Sewer - Phase 2 project under the Professional Services Agreement that the City Council authorized at the February 2, 2022, City Council meeting. During the design of the new facility, it was discovered that the SCADA system that the City uses for the balance of sewer facilities is no longer manufactured, nor supported.
