SUMMARY:
The attached information is a summary of notable tasks that the Public Works Department has completed during the preceding month of June.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.

DISCUSSION:
In addition to normal daily operations, the below are specific notable items completed by each Division in Public Works Department. Staff also participated in monthly safety training and Traffic Flagging Safety training.

STREETS
* Trimmed 27 city blocks of trees
* Applied 15 tons of road patch in potholes and Graded 1 alley
* 8-man hours of street striping
* Placed 40 tons of hot-mix asphalt patches
* 70-man hours of Park Dept. assistance and Government Building maintenance
PARKS
* Edged 5 parks
* Painted 4 restrooms
* Replaced/repaired 2 irrigation mains, 19 sprinklers, and 2 toilets
* Trimmed and lifted 16 trees, removed 2 more
* Coordinated improvement projects with Sher Wintle Dog Park volunteers
ELECTRICAL
* Replaced/repaired 6 stop/streetlights/bulbs
* Reset traffic control lighting timing
* Repaired and replaced multiple bulbs and transformers
* Various service calls at sewer lift-stations including re-powering replacement pump
* Multiple service calls Park and pool facilities including ADA pool lifts
FLEET
* Performed 11 oil services on 7 vehicles and 4 pieces of equipment
* 19 repairs on 13 vehicles and 6 pieces of equipment
* Performed 3 90-day truck inspections and 1 truck tested for Clean Truck program
* Resolved and had issues repaired with skid steer being utilized for fire mitigation
* Continued coordination of items and contacts for surplus equipment auction including multiple equipment decommissioning
SEWER COLLECTIONS
* Rodded and flushed 3.9 miles of sewer mains
* Vacuumed and cleaned-out sewer lift...
